What if I have multiple conditions that need treatment?
If you have multiple conditions or symptoms that need attention, a DrHouse physician can review them during your virtual visit and decide what can be treated through telehealth.
Treatment depends on the physician’s medical evaluation, your history, and whether each condition is appropriate for remote care. Some issues may be treated during the same visit, while others may require follow-up care, lab testing, or in-person evaluation.
Quick Answer:
- A physician can evaluate more than one concern during a visit.
- Treatment is based on medical appropriateness, not guaranteed for every condition.
- Some conditions may be managed with medication, self-care guidance, or follow-up visits.
- Some concerns may need lab testing or in-person care instead of telehealth treatment.
How It Works
During your video visit, the physician reviews your symptoms, medical history, allergies, current medications, and other relevant details. Based on that evaluation, the physician may diagnose conditions, recommend a treatment plan, prescribe medication when appropriate, or suggest additional next steps. DrHouse also supports follow-up care, prescription refills for eligible medications, chronic condition management, and lab test referrals when needed.
DrHouse physicians may help with a wide range of non-emergency concerns, including infections, skin conditions, respiratory symptoms, digestive issues, headaches, urinary concerns, sexual health concerns, and certain chronic conditions such as high blood pressure, diabetes, asthma, and thyroid disorders.
What to Expect
If you bring up several concerns, the physician will determine which ones can be safely addressed through telehealth during that visit. In some cases, multiple issues may be covered in one consultation. In other cases, the physician may focus on the most clinically appropriate concerns first and recommend follow-up care for ongoing treatment or monitoring.
If more information is needed, the physician may refer you for lab work through Labcorp and review results in a follow-up visit.
Limitations / What to Know
Not every condition can be treated virtually. Some concerns require a physical exam, imaging, specialized testing, urgent care, or emergency care. DrHouse is for non-emergency medical care only. Prescriptions are also not guaranteed and are issued only when medically appropriate. Controlled substances are not prescribed through the platform.
