How does the lab test referral process work with DrHouse?
DrHouse makes getting lab test referrals simple, fast, and accessible—all from the comfort of your phone. Here’s how our process works:
- Get the DrHouse telehealth app: Download the DrHouse app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
- Book a virtual visit: Start by scheduling a virtual appointment with one of our licensed DrHouse doctors through the DrHouse app, available 24/7. This means you can get started anytime, whether it’s day or night.
- Consult with your doctor: In your virtual visit, share any symptoms, health concerns, or specific tests you’re interested in. Your DrHouse doctor will discuss your health needs and decide which lab tests would be most helpful based on your personal goals and any symptoms you describe.
- Get your lab test referral: If a lab test is recommended, your doctor will issue a referral for the necessary tests. DrHouse partners with Labcorp, granting you access to over 6,000 different tests at convenient Labcorp locations across the U.S.
- Schedule your lab test: Once you receive your referral, schedule a convenient appointment time at any Labcorp location.
- Complete your lab test: On the day of your appointment, simply show up at the Labcorp location and present your referral. The lab technicians will take care of the rest.
- Access your results: Once your tests are completed, they will be sent to your doctor who will review them and provide a treatment plan or further recommendations based on the results. Additionally, you can request access to your results at any time by emailing our support team at support@drhouse.com or by starting a live chat within the DrHouse app.
- Follow-up as needed: If you’d like to discuss your results further, schedule a follow-up visit with your DrHouse doctor through the app.
DrHouse streamlines the entire referral process, helping you access and understand your health information without ever leaving home.
