What happens if my prescription isn’t eligible for on-demand delivery?

If your prescription isn’t eligible for on-demand prescription delivery, DrHouse will automatically send it to a pharmacy of your choice for traditional pick-up. You’ll still receive the same high-quality care from your virtual doctor’s visit, but your medication will need to be collected in person.

Reasons Your Prescription May Not Be Eligible:

  • Condition Not Covered: Our on-demand delivery is limited to a specific set of conditions. If your condition isn’t on the eligible list, your prescription won’t qualify for 1-hour delivery.
  • Medication Restrictions: Certain medications, like controlled substances or specialty drugs, may not be eligible due to legal or safety regulations.
  • Outside of Service Area: If your delivery address falls outside of our current service areas, you won’t be able to select the on-demand option.

What to Expect If Your Prescription Isn’t Eligible:

  • Pharmacy Selection: Your doctor will send the prescription to the pharmacy you selected during your visit setup.
  • App Instructions: You’ll receive detailed instructions in the DrHouse app on where and how to pick up your medication.
  • No Additional Steps Required: There’s no need to take further action—your prescription will be handled seamlessly even if it doesn’t qualify for delivery.

Will More Prescriptions Be Eligible in the Future?

Yes! We are continuously working to expand the list of conditions and medications eligible for on-demand delivery. As we grow our service areas, more patients will have access to fast, convenient 1-hour prescription delivery.
