Can I schedule my prescription delivery for a specific time instead of on-demand?
No, DrHouse’s on-demand prescription delivery is designed to deliver your medication within 1 hour of your virtual doctor’s visit. At this time, it is not possible to schedule a delivery for a specific time or delay the delivery to a later date.
Why Can’t I Schedule a Specific Delivery Time?
- Immediate Processing & Fast Delivery: To ensure you receive your medication quickly, prescriptions are processed immediately after your virtual visit and sent out for 1-hour delivery. This streamlined system doesn’t allow for flexible scheduling.
- On-Demand Service Model: The service is specifically designed to offer fast, hassle-free medication delivery right after your doctor’s consultation, eliminating the need for waiting or additional scheduling steps.
- Regulatory Compliance & Safety: Once a prescription is processed, it must be delivered directly to you as soon as possible to maintain the integrity and safety of the medication.
What If I’m Not Available to Receive the Delivery?
If you’re unsure about your availability:
- Consider Opting Out of On-Demand Delivery: You can choose not to select the on-demand delivery option before your virtual visit. Instead, your doctor can send your prescription to a pharmacy of your choice for pickup at your convenience.
- Reschedule Your Virtual Visit: If you prefer on-demand delivery but aren’t available at the time, consider scheduling your virtual doctor’s visit for a time when you’ll be home to receive the delivery.
What Happens If I Miss the Delivery?
- If you’re unavailable to receive the delivery, the medication will be returned and destroyed for safety reasons.
- Refunds are not available for missed deliveries, and you’ll need to either:
- Schedule a new visit to get another delivery (paying for both the visit and medication again), or
- Contact support to have your prescription sent to a nearby pharmacy (you’ll still need to purchase the medication again).
